On 28 September 2018, singer, songwriter and actor Nathan Hartono performed at the opening of Breitling’s pop-up concept at the Paragon shopping mall in Singapore.

A friend of the brand, Hartono sang two songs “Let Me” (a 2018 song released by RCA Records that was recorded and made popular by English singer Zayn Malik) and “Dancing in the Moonlight” (first released in 1972 by French-American rock group King Harvest and revived as a cover version by British rock band Toploader in 2000).

Nathan Hartono (born July 1991 in Singapore) rose to international stardom when he became the first runner-up in the Chinese TV singing competition, “Sing! China”. “Sing! China” was formerly known as “Voice of China”.

Hartono was presented with the Breitling Navitimer 1 Chronograph and he can be seen wearing it in the video above.

The Breitling pop-up concept at Paragon shopping mall, which opened on 28 September 2018 and runs till 7 October 2018, is a collaboration between Breitling and Watches of Switzerland which is part of The Hour Glass Group.

The pop-up concept showcased Breitling’s 2018 collections including the Navitimer 8, the Superocean Heritage II and even historic models from the 1990s.

Did you know? Part of the lyrics for “Let Me” sung by Hartono was changed. Can you figure out the part that was changed?

Interestingly, Zayn Malik was also wearing a luxury-branded wristwatch in the video “Let Me” that also begins with the letter “B”. However, it is not Breitling but Bulgari – the Bulgari Octo Finissimo Automatic in Sandblasted 18K rose gold.

Culinary Watch: Watch Photo Awards

A. Lange & Söhne Lange One with a mother-of-pearl dial. Our submission for the Watch Photo Awards organised by WorldTempus. Photo: © TANG Portfolio/TimeWerke.

At your next meal, perhaps you should share the experience along with your wristwatch.

Why? Your photo might just win you a prize and it might even be exhibited.

The WorldTempus Watch Photo Awards is having a contest for the best photos every month.

The current theme for the month of September 2018 is “food and drink” and all you need is an image of your watch in a culinary setting.

After which, upload your image onto the Watch Photo Awards website.

Our submission is the seafood crab meal above and we had paired it with this Lange & Söhne. This Lange One is ideal as it has the marine element on it – the mother-of-pearl dial.

We apologise for the late notice but there is still a day or two for this theme till 30 September 2018. After which, there will be a new theme for October 2018.
