First launched at Sugar City in Amsterdam, Netherlands on 3 September 2018, the Dua Lipa X Jaguar remix of “Want To” was created based on her driving style in the Jaguar I-Pace, the marque’s very first electric car or Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV).
British singer and model Dua Lipa’s driving style was recorded by the Jaguar I-Pace’s intelligent sensors. With data such as the electrical energy utilised and how she accelerated and braked, the “tempo, arrangement and overal feel” for the “Want To” remix was created.
Even Dutch supermodel Doutzen Kroes and French actress Alix Bénézech (who plays a French police agent in the 2018 movie Mission: Impossible – Fallout), who were present at Dua Lipa’s gig in Amsterdam, created their own remixes of “Want To” driving Jaguar’s I-Pace.
Besides Jaguar I-Pace drivers and owners, fans of Dua Lipa can also create their own versions of her song by using Jaguar’s remix software found on http://remix.jointhepace.com.
According to Jaguar, the app allows music fans to remix Dua Lipa’s track using Spotify streaming history. This means using data from the music the person listens to, from the average tempo of the playlists to the mood and energy of the music, and rearranging the elements to create a personalised remix version.
Those who do not have a Spotify account can still create a remix in the app by tapping a rhythm on their their mobile to “set the pace” of a new version of the song.
Born in London in 1995, Dua Lipa’s parents were Albanians from Kosovo.
The Jaguar I-Pace can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and has a range of 470km (292 miles).
Interestingly, it is rumoured that Dua Lipa may well sing the theme song for “Bond 25”, the working title for the twenty-fifth James Bond movie that will be released on 25 October 2019 in the United Kingdom.
This will be actor Daniel Craig’s fifth and final performance playing the British master spy. Omega fans may well be wondering about the next Omega watch Craig will be wearing and even perhaps wonder if Dua Lipa will either perform or wear an Omega .
One thing is for sure, fans of Dua Lipa who are in Singapore will be able to catch her performance at the Formula One Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix on Sunday, 16 September 2018.
