The video above is the Behind the Scenes footage in the making of “Into the Second” featuring new Zenith ambassador, Eason Chan.
On Monday, 30 July 2018, Hong Kong singer and actor Eason Chan was officially appointed as the new ambassador for Swiss watch brand Zenith.
He is known for movies such as Office (2015), Insanity (2014) and Hooked on You (2007), according to imdb.com. In Hong Kong, Eason Chan is an ambassador for McDonalds.
When it comes to music, Eason Chan is described as having a skilful control of rhythm, pitch and emotion. Such traits, together with his persistence, has rewarded him with major music awards.
Watch collectors and Zenith fans should be well acquainted and familiar with the brand’s “guiding star” logo. Coincidentally, his 2018 movie is: “Keep Calm and be a Superstar” where he stars as Yuen Pao.
This is perhaps a sign that Eason Chan, a superstar in his own right, is a good fit for the brand with its famed “Superstar” El Primero movement.
Eason Chan’s first appearance as Zenith brand ambassador will take place on Thursday, 23 August 2018.
As part of Zenith’s new advertising campaign with this Hong Kong pop star, the video known as “Into the Second” will be released to express the commitment to innovation, dedication and passion shared by both Eason and Zenith.
The behind the scenes video of the making of “Into the Second” (above) reveals Eason Chan’s thoughts about his partnership with Zenith. Zenith CEO Julien Tornare is also seen in this video clip.
The Nitecore NTP20 is more than just a pen; it is a writing instrument that doubles up as a self-defence tool and is helpful for emergencies. For example, an emergency situation may arise when you are stuck inside a car with windows that cannot be wound down. As such, a tool like the Nitecore NTP20 can be used to smash the windows to escape.
A normal pen or pencil can obviously be used as a weapon.
However, perhaps not quite as perceived by many as seen in the movies. For instance, there is an “exploding pen” used by James Bond (played by Pierce Brosnan) in the 1995 movie “Goldeneye”. In actual fact, it is termed a “Class 4 grenade” by “Q”.
Perhaps a more realistic situation arose when Jason Bourne (played by Matt Damon) in the 2002 movie “Bourne Identity” uses a pen found on a desk as an improvised weapon to fend off an assassin armed with a knife.
A more extreme situation when a pen was used as a weapon was played out in the 1995 movie “Casino” in a scene when mobster Nicky Santoro (played by Joe Pesci) uses a pen to brutally stab a man who was rude to Sam “Ace” Rothstein (played by Robert De Niro). Even a pencil is able to maim and kill as seen in the 2014 movie “John Wick”. In one of the action-packed fighting scenes, John Wick (played by Keanu Reeves) grabs not one but two pencils on a desk and uses each one as an improvised weapon resulting in highly damaging and deadly consequences to his assailants. As to how to use a pen, pencil, scissors or letter opener as an improvised self-defence tool, the instructional video from Expert Village below explains it very well.
However, do note that such improvised weapons from pens or pencils are used for stabbing and not smashing.
This is where Nitecore’s NTP20 which features a lightweight and sturdy titanium barrel and grips comes into play with its tungsten steel tapered tip.
Basically, this pen was designed and made as a self-defence tool. Thanks to its tungsten steel tapered tip, it can be used to exact heavy damage in close-quarters combat and even smash glass for emergency escapes.
Nitecore is the company that produces rugged and robust flashlights with extreme brightness.
As for the extra pen refill that came with the Nitecore NTP20, we chose the green gel ink. Other choices for the extra refill will be black, blue or red. The refill is a gel-based Schneider ink cartridge that is ISO 27668-1 certified.
Of course, we use it as a writing instrument. As an everyday carry (EDC) pen or “concealed carry” instrument, who knows, it might just come in really handy the day someone is tempted to target our wristwatches.
