Oris presented its first watch with the digital hour display at the 2014 BaselWorld watch fair. Known as the Artelier Jumping Hour, this is the brand’s first watch with the jumping hour digital display.

After every sixty minutes, the jumping hour disc will make the change to the next hour instantaneously.

Based on the Sellita SW300 automatic movement, the dial of the Artelier Jumping Hour features an off-centred minute hand. This minute hand will actually be above the digital hour aperture on the dial (pointing at 12 o’clock) every time the instantaneous jumping hour disc makes the change to the next hour.

The continuous sweep seconds hand is on the sub-dial at the 6 o’clock position.
