For a three-hand mechanical wristwatch, Seiko’s Presage SARX019 in steel ranks high on our list. What is noteworthy about this model is that it features an enamel dial.
Like the SARX011 100th Anniversary model (also with an enamel dial) that celebrates the introduction of the first Seiko wristwatch in 1913 (that had the “Laurel” branding on its dial), the SARX019 is powered by the Calibre 6R15 automatic movement.
The main difference between the two is that the anniversary model (SARX011) has the Roman numeral “XII” on the dial in red.
The Calibre 6R15 automatic movement has 23 jewels, 50 hours of power reserve after being fully wound and the hacking seconds function. The movement can be viewed through the open display sapphire case back.
The sweetener is that it is accompanied with an elegant glossy leather strap and a folding clasp in steel.
Retailed at ¥80,000 (or around US$820 / EUR615 / SGD1,040 / MYR2,690), this simple yet classic-looking SARX019 offers a great price-quality ratio.
